Accelerometer-Based Key Generation and Distribution Method for Wearable IoT Devices

With the fast development of wearable IoT devices, their applications are becoming more and pervasive, ranging from social networking, payment, navigation to health activity monitoring. The security communication between these devices is essential protect transmitted sensitive information tampering eavesdropping. integration accelerometers into gait-based biometric cryptography technology has emerged as a data securing tool for wearables. This article proposes lightweight noise-based group key generation method, which utilizes noise signals imposed on raw acceleration generate an M-bit with high randomness bit rate. Moreover, signed sliding window coding (SSWC)-based common feature extraction method was designed extract sharing generated among worn different body parts. Finally, fuzzy vault-based distribution system implemented evaluated using public set. performed comprehensive analysis proposed proved that binary keys via introduced procedure have entropy can pass both NIST Dieharder statistical tests efficiency. experimental results obtained prove robustness SSWC-based in terms similarity discriminability intra- inter-class features, respectively.
